it irks me to no end that the phrases "shitposting" and "shitposter" have come to mean the sort of posts we now think of -- the phrase used to mean hilarious off-topic posts in the middle of a topical forum thread.
but so many things that are called shitposts today? They're closer to less-academic Turboencabulator Presentations. And I think that is a far better ancestry to respect.
