i can't believe in high school when we were learning about propaganda in history class i was like "well i sure am glad there's no propaganda around anymore" it was 2004. i have never been more wrong other than the time i thought i was cis for 34 years.
honestly mainstream media today (especially television news) feels to me as blatantly propagandistic as old black and white film newsreels

dating myself here, but in 1984, in the midst of Reagan's America, the news was full of self-congratulatory stories about how Orwell's vision had never come to pass here in the good old US of A, unlike in the filthy decadent Soviet Union. I sure am glad we don't have any thought control here! and we never did ever again
when something vaguely leftist is depicted or referenced on netflix we joke about how fun it is when the propaganda spigot dispenses our flavor
