I think its because of how welcoming/safe/open an environment is that causes a phenomenon like that. People with other genderqueer people in their life are introduced to gender ideology at a younger age and have that (genderqueer) person as a safe space to talk and experiment (usually).

Transphobes will say that transgenderism is a "pushed agenda" and that's why leftist families have so many queer kids. But it's more so that leftist families offer a safe space to experiment and education on the topic.

My siblings didn't discover they were queer until I had come out and they saw me as a safe person to talk about their experiences with and have someone to compare to.
