there's so many fascinating aspects of the loss meme and its lasting power in the zeitgeist-- but yeah I often think about how there was, is, and probably always will be an element of misogyny to it and that just kinda sucks

i like to think of the meme itself as being about the comic, which was in turn about miscarriage, but not about the miscarriage itself... but you know i can't really broadly claim that
