I'm Pretty sure this aired Well into the 90's on occasion, and may have run into the 2000's.
like, there's a lot of weird lore about this i could go into. like How Captain Newfoundland is the merged spirit of all Atlantians into one entity called "captain Atlantis" , and how Newfoundland is part of the island that's jutting out of the sea.
if you think the writer of this was a rich guy who did a lot of drugs and was into new age and ancient aliens shit in the 70's. you'd be right!
