I’m going to start a solo playthrough of Stonehell using the Errant system.

I made four characters.
Gerod The Zealot Elf
Elaine the Violent Goblin
Fortessa the Deviant Tiefling + her dad
Veg the Occult Orc + his two buff cousins

I’m going to play through the Stonehell mega dungeon as I read it, and then I’m going to write up a journal entry made by one of the characters, as Veg is going to document and publish their explorations.

Stonehell. It was a prison, now an ancient ruin built into the ground. I am leaving my academy for the first time. I have found myself some companions. Garod, a religious elf who drinks without end and has a... smell to him. Elaine is a savvy goblin warrior. Fortessa, a tiefling that is smarter with her hands than with her mouth.

The jade horse in my pocket jumped to my mind, and I examined it for a while. I think I have been able to discern its abilities.

After a month, we only have a combined total of 1,156 cp to fund our next expedition.

So far, nothing. A group of rooms carved into limestone walls held nothing but dog-sized beetles spouting puffs of smoke and yet more brigands. Gerod offered them a decent salary, but they refused.

In a ruined dining hall we encountered two orcs "celebrating". We let them finish, and Gerod approached them.

He wooed them with his lustful chatter and a few sips from his chalice. They've told us of their recent victories against the goblins, and we have shared tales of our own. They wish to show us around, and have agreed to lead us to the newly acquired territory of the Open Sore Orcs.

We have made it to an orc outpost. On the way, our companions wished to explore a little and discovered a room full of what I presume to be the descendants of former prisoners. They are quite pale, with skeletal features, and seem to be disfigured by some supernatural presence.

With the help of our orcish friends, we eliminated them and tried to negotiate for a share of the coin. We did not succeed, but I deemed it more valuable to preserve our friendship than to fight over a few coppers.

They led us to an outpost with several other orcs drinking and standing watch. Their captain would not let us into their main territory without slaying "Da Dragon", which from his description may be a big lizard or an actual dragon.

With directions but without our friends the orcs, we headed out for "Da Dragon's" Lair.

We discovered a ten foot tall rocky headed statue, smoke pouring from its mouth and gems embedded where its eyes should be. It bellowed forth some nonsense, but I recorded it just in case.

"Pester not the fish that breathes air."

"Avoid pointed arguments, the results can be... shocking."

"Seclusion is magic's watchword. Seek the room without doors."

The Lair shifted from the crude stone construction of the prison to natural cave walls. Little furry men with the heads of dogs scurried out past us, clearly in fear, tails tucked between legs. Gerod called out to one in the tongues of chaos, and between its whines gleaned the true nature of the dragon. From the kobold's description, it seems to be nothing more than an enlarged gecko. The kobold scurried off, and we entered the caves.
