Anonymous User asked: So how exactly does the CRT head thing work? Like, I assume the front of it isn't the actual glass off the front of a tube. Did you get it from someone or make it yourself? Do you have instructions?
okay so i went into detail in this post about what i know of the build process, but to answer you in short,
- its an emptied out crt with a hard hat bolted to the inside
- the glass is a tinted plexiglass sheet, the original glass would've come out with the vacuum tube
- i got it commissioned on etsy but if youve got access to tools it wouldnt be that hard to do yourself
- i have some pretty good guesses on how to do it but again, havent actually done it myself yet
