A game where you succeed at every action you take, within reason — you only roll to determine what the escalation or further entanglement is.
Maybe it's a random table of sorts, as a GM prompt to generate things. Or the GM could prep a ton.
And you're also rolling a d6 to determine just how "bad" the entanglement is?
Setting is present day real world, but heightened. Character stat block is undifferentiated, player by player. Oh, instead maybe you !!!! have stats that are related to the kinds of bad outcomes you want, purely from a fictional/character perspective (eg: "violence", "slapstick"). And your dice pool directs the narrative tone, maybe as much as it effects plot.
Imagine how fast that game would go! First thing I've come up with that I'm excited to actually play test.
