she was a LIAR
her name is Chai (perfect cat name: food-based.) we thought she was helpless, young, and malnourished. she is none of those things. she is an indoor/outdoor who has been here for eight years and gets all the food she wants.
she's EIGHT YEARS OLD which i cannot believe. not a kitten at all, just small and more energetic than any adult cat I've ever met. i never would have thought she was that old.
the owners have never seen her be away this long before, and suspect that she decided to hit the bricks because they had a stray they took in who had kittens, and she hated the kittens
she also tears all her collars off, which is why she had on a cheap one that she'd ripped up so badly that it looked like it was a year old. they even put a tag on it, but she ripped that off too.
i cannot believe i got taken for such a complete fool by this animal. a tiny liar and scoundrel! a thief! a thief! she ate our food and drank our water!! i demand remuneration
