Tarhiel

Tarhiel is a Wood Elf enchanter who falls from the sky in the Bitter Coast near Seyda Neen after an experiment goes horribly wrong.

He is the proud creator of the Scrolls of Icarian Flight, which fortify Acrobatics by 1000 pts for 7 seconds. In his eagerness to test them, he forgot to take the landing into consideration, with disastrous results.

"AAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!! WAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAGGGHHHHHH!!!!!"

This guy was my favorite Morrowind NPC. I love how a similar NPC also exists in Caves of Qud, kicking off one of the first two quests (and just like in Morrowind, if you find his body, you can repeat his mistake.)

It's actually possible (but extremely hard) to save him from the sudden stop at the end of his "flight", but if you successfully manage to pull it off, all he'll offer in conversation is "I don't want to talk about it."

Which, admittedly, mood, but still, bit of a disappointing payoff.
