I just made the best fucking coffee I've ever had, so apologies for the bougie Instagram level food porn but I need to write down what I did so I can keep making it, because this was frankly better than a lot of the sex I've ever had.
- Coffee: 16g Goshen Coffee Yebesele. Light roast, natural process Ethiopian Yirgacheffe.
- Grind: Baratza Encore, 8 on the dial.
- Machine: Gaggia Classic Pro.
- Brew ratio: Lungo, 16g in, 48ml out. Yes this is a weird way to measure this, but I don't have a scale that fits under the cup because the clearance on the Gaggia is too damn small.
- Milk: 150ml, steamed almost to classic ratio of about half and half milk to foam.
- Garnish: Penzey's nutmeg, freshly grated with micro-plane.
- Side: Oikos lemon meringue Greek yogurt. It was on sale, but it's Danone so probably the most evil thing in this picture.
- Tasting notes: Milk chocolate, cherries, grapefruit zest, spice, marshmallow, velvet, like a cloud burst in your mouth
- Me: happy, blissed out, i think i need a cigarette
