If you're too lazy to click, it focuses on Namco's classic arcade games, and more specifically the key art created for them in a pre-computer age, which the publisher is actively striving to properly preserve the originals of. Lots of airbrushes, intricate painting work and gorgeous graphic design!

Go check it out.

Apparently Namco decided that this series didn't do well enough on The Metrics and The Numbers and decided to just outright delete the entire fucking English-language YouTube account. I take back all my compliments and wish the executive involved a very pleasant urethral infection.

Hopefully this stuff managed to get archived somewhere by someone, or someone does their own subs of the JP videos...

Namco has been in a somewhat murder-y mood lately. Pac-Man 99 was recently announced that it was shutting down.

in reply to @techokami's post:

Namco's been awful about preserving "failed" content for years now: they used to have a website called Shiftylook where they'd publish official webcomics based on their old games, and while some (like Klonoa) were saved by fans, others have been lost media ever since the site was shut down barely two years after it launched.

Oh yeah I forgot it's also where they published Namco High! You know, that weird, dumb, kinda not great parody dating sim developed by Andrew Hussie. Truly wild to think just how much work was put into Shiftylook only for it to be unceremoniously shuttered so quickly. I guess this is just Namco's MO.
