As such, I present dinner for one, on one last minute grocery delivery.
- Sliced country ham (because turkey was all sold out)
- Rustic mashed potatoes (unpeeled, and mashed with a wooden spatula, because I keep forgetting to buy a potato masher)
- Stove Top sage stuffing (because all the other stuffing was sold out too, but I jazzed it up a little with some Penzey's rubbed sage and celery flakes)
- Instant turkey gravy (with some more of those spices)
- Cranberry sauce (thank god they weren't out of that, no substitutes for that one)
- Pumpkin pie (from leftover fixings I had last year, plus a generous dose of fresh ground nutmeg)
It ain't haute cuisine, it ain't gonna impress any food blogger or Youtube star, but it's still goddamn tasty and I had it all done in an hour.
I'm full, happy, watching a John Hughes movie, and nobody bothering me but my cat.
