I was browsing product recalls, as you do when it's so fucking cold I can't even go into certain rooms of my house let alone outdoors, and I think I missed this one when it happened:
how very Tesla, to sell "cyberquad" ATVs which were actually regular Radio Flyer kiddie ATVs with futuristic polygonal paneling tacked on, and to fail to follow safety standards to the point where they had to recall the entire run of them
am I reading this right? did they make 5,000 units available for sale and not even look at any relevant safety requirements such as, "include a safety manual"?
I mean I'm glad this is one of those "before anyone got seriously hurt" recalls but hahahaha damn
it's really amazing how amateur-hour the entire Musk industrial complex is. like some of what they do is sinister in a planned way but so much of it is just a total lack of awareness of basic quality standards in the industries they're Disrupting.
