Owing to the increased amount of travel across the Rift in recent times, a mysterious benefactor decided that it would be in the best interests of all the residents of the Shards that such interdimensional travel be better regulated.
As such, the Travel Office was created in an abandoned pocket realm left behind by the Ascians was commandeered and converted to a waystation between the remaining Shards, so that such travel could be better monitored and recorded for posterity.
Visitors to the Travel Office will find it staffed seemingly only by a single lone miqo'te known only as the Timekeeper, but those considering nefarious behaviors would be wise to reconsider their course of action. It is rumored that the Timekeeper is the surviving descendant of the lost Ancients themselves, and in any case wields more or less total control over the portals therein, and is all to happy to leave such ne'er-do-wells stranded within the Rift.
Behave yourself, however, and log your journey in the Book of Travels as requested, and you are welcome to await your departure in tranquility, and even enjoy some simple refreshments on the house.
