Question of the Day!

What is your WoL/OC’s relationship with the gods and other great mystical powers? Do they revere all of the Twelve, one in particular, none at all? What about Azim, Nhaama, or the Elementals?

Anna is at this point rather skeptical of the concept of "gods", given everything she's been through and remembers through Azem's crystal.

She was first and foremost Hydaelyn's chosen and loved her as a mother and hero in turns, but the events of the Final Days have left only a hole where once she dwelled in her heart. To think of Her as a "god" now feels strange, demeaning somehow to her memory as a friend and a mentor.

As a Keeper, she was of course raised of course to revere Menphina, and her black mage soul respected the Destroyer above all, yet her many trials since have cooled what faith remained for the Twelve. The journey to the Omphalos thus has raised in her more skepticism and caution than reverence.

She who has fought so many who would claim the title of "God", she would be a fool to trust the motives of anyone daring bandy about that title. Experience has taught her that the whole concept seems to be more trouble than it is worth. At best, "God" is merely a grandiose title mortals grant in memory of those whose impact is felt on the star long after they are gone from it. At worst, it is the self-appointed boast of the power-mad and aether-hungry, to be stopped before they bring ruin to the world.

Question of the Day!

What did/will your WoL/OC write for the letter forest at this year's The Rising event?

I have traveled long, and far, across many times and worlds, through many lifetimes. I have seen incredible sights, and terrible sorrows. Fought battles, won wars, saved souls, even run the simplest of errands.

Yet these things were never why I was truly there. We travelers set out into the world in search of something, often something we cannot define. I felt some part of my heart was missing, and I could only keep wandering, keep helping, finding allies and comrades and enemies alike, in hopes one day I might chance across it.

I know you, even though we are strangers. That yearning still lives within you, to travel still after all this time and all these trials.

What I must tell you however is that you will not find it, so long as you only look ever forward. Instead, look beside you. Look to your left and see your comrade sworn to protect you. Look to your right and see your companion who has always been there to tend your wounds.

There you will find what you seek. Do not miss it.

Yours,
A fellow Traveler
