Yes and no.

In her present incarnation at least, she has not. She was born to tribal life, and there schooled primarily in hunting, though she was fortunate that the tribe mother put some stock in literacy.

When it comes to her arcane knowledge however, she is mostly self-taught, other than what she learned during her time apprenticed to the thaumaturgist's guild. She is not the most academic of mages however, her natural gift for aether channeling makes up for a lack of book learning. Even the summoner's art called more on the knowledge of creation magicks she learned through Azem's crystal than it did transitional arcanist study, though she knows enough to read a tome or two.

As a result other mages and arcanists sometimes find her a bit frustrating at times, seemingly wildly ignorant of common aetherological principles and yet capable of truly singular feats of magical power, if at times rather unrefined in working. She is exactly that kind of infuriating natural talent that makes a diligent student deeply jealous and angry at times, though the Scions at least have learned to accept her strange mix of talent and academic blindspots.

fuck it, i just posted it: https://archiveofourown.org/works/49284823

"Ships in the Night" is a short story about Anna's chance reunion with Aymeric on a certain cliff overlooking Ishgard. It's a sequel of sorts to the original "Cold Comfort" I posted previously, now titled "Talking to Myself", so that I can repurpose "Cold Comfort" as the title for what may become a whole series at this rate.

I initially wanted to write just a little short something as a thank you for all the support I got from my last fundraising post, but some circuits crossed and instead it became an obsession over the last week, as it turned into an opportunity to explore some feelings I've been having about my sexuality through the medium of hot elf boys.

Fair warning: there's sex. With a trans. In particular, I really wanted to write an adult story from my perspective as a trans woman with an orchi, something I have genuinely never seen before, and so I got to play on some of my lovely @solient's own terminology for the transfem experience by adding a bit of my own.

I hope you enjoy it, and feel free to leave a tip on Ko-Fi if you like it!
