ok everything else aside, NaNoWriMo trying to enforce their code of conduct inside people's DMs is one of the funniest things I've ever seen a company do in response to criticism
Kind of just do stuff, tend to like stuff like Touhou and Doom and Terraria and Serious Sam and things

R-18 stuff over at @mandatoryanomaly
Basically everywhere else, Discord, Tumblr, Bluesky, Twitter, Steam, Fediverse, etc. I still go by "anomalouslymandatory" if possible

omg this is like some sovereign citizen shit lmao that's hilarious
If your DMs have a gold outline you're actually on nautical Tumblr and mods have to follow the Laws of the Sea
The incompetency at display. LMAO @ the fucking DMs especially, holy shit, what a disaster of PR.
hahaha this is a tiny detail but I'm losing it at them thinking spellcheck was invented in 2003
Did they ask chatGPT when spellcheck was invented or something?? and is this some kid who thought "yeah that checks out" because 2003 sounded like a long time ago in computer years? 2003, 1961, what's the difference?
They were shooting for "technically correct but irrelevant fact that distracts from the moral argument" and landed on "claim that is wrong in multiple ways"
I actually skated over that part lol, pretty wild that they said something else so absurdly funny here that I completely missed "claims spellcheck is an AI from 2003"
Yeah I got stuck on that too! I ended up reading the entire Wikipedia page on spellcheck and didn’t even find a notable advancement from 2003
All I'm reading is "We NaNoWriMo, have partnered with an AI firm to Steal Your Shit™ and we need to make the optics look good."
They partnered with a GenAI company to write your novel
