i think when we think about social web services, we forget that every new post and upload adds yet more data onto the mountain of data, and no matter how fast we can make price-per-byte more efficient that efficiency will be destroyed by both our past (historical uploads) and the future (demand for higher resolution)

although i definitely agree with a few of these words, it’s frustrating to get this type of response that says every incremental improvement is garbage to, essentially, “we aren’t considering the future enough”
