Question for everyone: After cohost dies, what social media/art sharing platform do you think you will spend most of your time on, as a viewer?

Question for everyone: After cohost dies, what social media/art sharing platform do you think you will spend most of your time on, as a viewer?
I honestly don't know. I would like it to be mastodon as I prefer a free alternative, but it looks like more people end up on bluesky
I have actually never really looked into mastodon before... How would i decide which server to use? How much does it matter?
If it's too long to explain i can probably find the answers on my own, but i would appreciate any help in understanding how it works.
Just surf them checking their rules IG... I think (not sure) it doesn't matter much as you'll probably be federated to most instances, as long as it's not a Nazi instance. Please let me know your handle if you set up there as I like you and would like to follow you
also new to masto, I kinda just chose a server some other people i follow use and I vibed with, furry.engineer. Meow.social and yiff.life are other popular furry instances i see a lot, the latter obviously catering more to NSFW so it might be a good fit for naughty pink puppydogs?
Saw some folks from here also on bark.lgbt which is also nsfw friendly (as long as you CW nsfw)
@peb and @squirrelo made a mastodon server for cohost people, it's critter.cafe :3
bluesky and mastodon both have surprisingly good rss support in the year 2024 (at least with openrss) so that's how I plan on viewing posts going forward
i really don't know anymore. i was here primarily because it felt like i was contributing to a greater thing who's principles i agreed with, so now im kinda looking into dreamwidth for stuff but it seems a lot more complicated! but in terms of " media consumption" places, i have bluesky and mastodon just to fill in for xitter and people seem to be going there.
i feel you. i really was here because it seemed like tumblr but better.
Definitely mastodon, though I wanna commit myself to exploring neocities and using RSS more.
definitely not bluesky, after what twitter did to my mental health i really don't ever want to join a corporate platform like that again.
i'll be giving mastodon/fedi a try, i never liked it much bc of a lot of the instances' unnecessarily strict cwing requirements and the extra complexity that makes it more difficult for non-techy people, but after cohost it feels like the next best thing.
i made my own instance (critter.cafe) with the goal of having a cohost like vibe for the posts while being able to interact with everyone else on there, feel free to make an account there if it's your vibe; if not, i see most people i follow going to chitter.xyz/meow.social/floofy.tech
edit: i should mention no matter where you sign up you'll generally be allowed to follow people from anywhere
For art sites, Itaku, followed by Weasyl and SoFurry. Otherwise mostly Discord and maybe Mastodon to an extent.
