absolutely love when artists put eyebags under gabriel’s face-cross

probably a minor thing, but i really like how in 5-2 you can just slide into the distance and you’ll end up looping back to the level

game design-wise it makes more sense than putting an invisible wall and forcing the player to stop midslide and drown

but lore-wise it’s a great example of how hell doesn’t follow the same rules as earth, and how it was created to be a hostile place. not just because of demons and stuff but because the space itself is actively tormenting the human souls that are damned to spend eternity there

absolutely in love with the idea that gabriel is like, such a cool guy. he's kind, caring, he's laborious and most importantly dutiful. he is the perfect representation of all that is divine and lesser angels and husks alike look up to him

but whenever the MACHINE is present or even just vaguely mentioned he devolves into angry hysterics and any kind of dignity gets thrown out the window

i guess you can read this as him always having a knack for carnage and combat but his status as an angel causes him to repress those emotions… until he finally met someone that enables him to show his true colors
