I watched this for my 12th or 13th birthday, way too young, during the day with a gaggle of other pre-teen girls because it had been a slumber party, in a way too big farmhouse from the turn of the century that my dad was caretaking. The shrieking whenever there was gore or sex was giddy and also strange. I re-watched it recently as an adult with my friend Tyler and given that both of us love Souls games, it was so great to finally see how this movie inspired so many other people as well.
