guess! which! local! rabbit! got! three! heelflips! in! a! row! today! aaaaaaaaa!
i was thinking very seriously about quitting earlier this year. i had been taking skateboarding pretty seriously for two and a half years at that point and hadn't really seen any improvement in a long time. several things were getting worse!
i realized that, if i was grinding harder, and getting worse, then i must be like. calcifying a training scar or a bad idea or something. so i took a month and a half away from the stuff that was frustrating me and just worked on whatever. for me that whatever was 360 shuvs and bs pivots. that ended up being extremely the right call. came back a lot more malleable and able to improve! (although i'm worse than i've been in two years at kickflips specifically for some reason. whatever. it's fine. fuck em. we hate kickflips in this house)
i'm glad i stuck with it! i'm really happy with where i'm at when i'm all warmed up and skating well. now to just get this stuff so locked in that i can just like, do it on the way to 7/11, in cold weather, with no warm up. :p
