how tf are you supposed to find where an image originally came from anymore. my info literacy is outdated, you used to be able to reverse image search something on google and get informative results instead of 900,000 tiktok links lmao

usually out of tineye, yandex, bing, and google (in roughly that order of usefulness) one of them will have the original, but it can sometimes take a bit of scrolling to find it, searching again with a higher quality image, etc. (yes, weirdly sometimes only Bing will be able to find it). I use this extension to check all four at once which seems to be basically equivalent to the one already suggested.

I use the same extension as Glitchy, and as an additional note on that, if you’re ever looking for an illustration, SauceNAO is usually the best option to click from that menu. It’ll find the source even if it’s been paywalled or deleted a lot of the time
