ok so not to just regurgitate an observation/core emotional theme of the book i'm reading (gee i wonder which one) without any of my own insight whatsoever but. this really is so wild. how is humanity going to purport to have any understanding of the universe at all when as soon as there are three. things. interacting. we already have NO IDEA what's going on. the universe has at LEAST four things in it!! this is chaos!!

Alchemy is a three body problem. :3

No really, I'm thinking about all the all the philosophical importance put on perfectly combining the Three Primes to create the... Philosopher's Stone. The first matter, chaos, from which all other matter was born. And the key to enlightenment lies in that chaos.
Maybe you could say chasing a general solution to the three body problem is like chasing the Philosopher's Stone. :333

I keep seeing the poetry of alchemy apply to things and it's A PROBLEM

hey this fucking rules thank you. :p thinking about the three primes as a chaotic, unsolvable mathematical system (and vice versa, thinking about the unsolvable mathematical system through the lens/aesthetic sensibility of alchemy) is such a pretty idea. that is the opposite of a problem!!
