nintendo was so obviously in the legal wrong, given emulation's legal precedent, that i genuinely thought the yuzu lawsuit threat was a serious attempt to get legal precedent reversed, and that their megacorpo lawyers thought they had a real in on that (and i was prepared to believe it. usa law is uhhhhh not functioning right now)
so i'm very surprised to hear they settled instead for what is, to them, pennies?? what is even the point? aimless pettiness that i would attribute to a billionaire individual, not a multinational corporation that ostensibly does things for reasons
