i've been working super duper hard all week on camera stuff and i think it's finally far enough along that i can show it off a bit! it's still WIP, and i expect i will be making little changes to it about twice every single time i sit down to work until the game comes out, but i think it's starting to feel more dynamic and physical!

what do we think, gang? :3

yeah this stuff is really tricky to balance! it's possible that the effects in the first gif are a little too small rn, i can definitely imagine myself trending that way after a week of motion sickness from working on this lmao. but idunno, maybe it doesn't need to be noticeable to feel good? it's hard to say...

i'm liking the small slowdown as you go near things in the first gif. and i am liking the speed boost ability in the second one. that seems like it could lend itself to a lot of cool tricks

i have this system named "skatephotographer" in all the files and stuff after the tireless heroes who keep up with skateboarders with their little handheld cameras and their own boards. i think camerabunny has a backwards baseball hat on, and stars in their eyes...
