i've been playing through Robot Alchemic Drive, and nanao is maybe one of my favorite characters of all time now (or at the very least, will think about a lot and wish i could protect/adopt her). the game puts her through a lot of shitty stuff where she struggles to make ends meet as an essentially orphaned highschooler working 2 part time jobs and living on bread and water soup, despite the fact that her best friend is constantly making 10s of Billions of Yen from destroying Giant Alien Robots with Another Giant Robot (like, can't i pay nanao's bills, or at least like, split an apartment with her or something?? why do I have to wait until 3/5s into the game to have a chance to help her, which can only be done by destroying the buildings of competing businesses)
anyways, here's some screenshots (i play with a crt filter on cause it helps me with motion sickness, i find). there's a ui menu in one because i was scrambling to hit the screenshot button fast enough before the loading screen went away. i had to pull the last one from a youtube video because i think child flashback nanao has a very cute sweater and needed to be included.
made a few tweaks, and decided to do a joke for the death sprite, since i figure that doesn't matter as much
