I read somewhere that another name for Art-Nouveau was le style Jules Verne, which inspired this retrofuture animation.
The technology displayed here is a Nixie tube, which were pretty common in the 50s and 60s for numerical displays. They were the direct precursor to the VFD's used in older hifi gear.
Ive imagined what one might have looked like if they were made in the Art-Nouveau era, with the older style font, and a blobier, more hand blown tube.
