From what I understand, it's good when society's resources and production are encircled by random fiefdoms each seeking the accumulation of wealth and power from within their own bubble. The more intense the tug of war game over your body between the pharmaceutical company, the employer, the landlord, etc. the more the line go up, apparently?
The long term results don't really matter. The fiefdoms themselves don't even really matter. Just recklessly acquiring enough power to sustain and elevate positioning in a cool club that's cool because power over a sea of corpses is cool, and everyone should be cool with it, because we all want to be cool deep down, and where did that big axe come from?
mansa do you want to start a fiefdom with me? maybe we can win
(i can't think of an appropriate and sincere-sounding way to express "yeah, that's true, thank you for commiserating with me" so here's this instead)
Sure! We can keep recruiting disenfranchised forest animals and show up to the billionaire meeting as a bunch of critters in a trench coat. (<3)
