wanted to share what i've played so far and how i felt about each! :3
Firedog: you've seen me talk about @ripper-coyote's Firedog already. it rules. mario sunshine water pack mechanics as a momentum based speed game about rescuing doggos from fire. that rules!
Free Skies: if you're into jet set radio/bomb rush and 3d sonic games you have got to check this out. the writing's cute, the player character's design is great, the world is just unbelievably cool, and splashing some sonic the hedgehog-esque rollercoasters and quarterpipe traversal into a jet set like really has made it just an absolute delight to play. also the village area is just genuinely one of the most inspiring city levels i've ever seen, the way they've built tony hawk quarterpipes, wall runs, and rails into the architecture is incredible.
BuKnight: this game has the absolute unrestrained design philosophy of an old shareware indie. run EXTREMELY fast and swing a sword EXTREMELY fast as a berserker bunny knight. thank you to the dev for allowing me to go bunny sicko mode
Buster's Big Score: absolutely delightful animation on this pixel cartoon fox thief. what's here is short but super stylish and just really fun to move around in and i can't wait to see more
Sonic Grind: another tony hawk inspired project, but this one's got a very handheld, bite-size charm to it. the controls are pretty tricky to work with but there's undeniable charm here. it did make me motion sick though so be careful!
