A Rugrats game that is actually NES homebrew which runs on real NES hardware but has an option to display HD assets on console/PC, which is... extremely wild to do for Rugrats
i took one look at that NES cart and immediately went "oh, its an empty cart, as a display piece, that's cute." at no point had i considered it could actually be NES homebrew that is out of this world lmao
Yeah, while the show was contemporary with the NES at the end of its lifespan (1991, so we were getting new NES games at that point) I more associate Rugrats with like, the early PS1 if anything. But it's still a crazy thing for Nickelodeon to pull and it shows there's some real blood in the ol' creativity noodle somewhere at Viacom, so I hope they keep it up
