also:

the way SAGE events have changed over the years is so... the same way everything else changes as it gets bigger. i'm not like, mad at anyone or anything, i think it's individually understandable, but it seems like people really only play the games made by established community members they're acquainted with, and then the games that have like. publishers and successful kickstarters. so all the attention trickles to the same couple games over and over

but like i do get it! you like the people you know and you want to play their game! the kickstarters are exciting and these bigger budget, more successful games look super cool! it just kind of feels like watching an olympics winner from 1960 vs one now. it's the way everything goes. the "Amateur" in "Sonic Amateur Games Expo" isn't really sustainable
