In the first few months after elden ring came out and I was trying very hard to like its pvp I made a number of themed dueling builds, and I'd like to share the funniest and most effective one I ever made, affectionately named "PureCaster RL135."
So, this builds gimmick is that everything about it screams magic user, down to the name - which your opponents do see when they lock on to you! Except I didn't put a single point into intelligence. This build features the heaviest armor I could find that looks caster-y and is equipped with two staves requiring 50+ in that I can't even actually use. People saw all of this and prepared themselves for a very particular type of fight, only to actually get a B tier 80 dex powerstanced curved swords rushdown build. Because elden ring duels are so fast almost no one I played was able to adapt in time and I won almost every game I played on this character!
