hi all! heard about this place from the most recent twitter exodus (like a lot of the people in this tag in the last week, i'm sure) and i really like the vibe so far! lots of sincerity, lots of people being themselves openly, lots of people tinkering and creating.
i have a question though, could some of you give me your impression on what the culture is like here re: bigotry and that sort of stuff? i don't see a lot of The Discourse on here so far, for better or for worse (likely better these days). as someone who hasn't really been actively involved in social media since the social justice era got weird and autocannibalistic and crashed and burned in 2016 or so, there's a part of me that worries that like, everything on here's going to be fine until i find out you all have secret terf sideblogs or we all just arbitrarily hate a specific sexual minority or something lol. tell me about your experiences, are we cool with all types of marginalized people here? genuinely not trying to Start Drama, just don't want to be blindsided y'know? let me know!
