we're really excited about this new practice of putting logs under things to make them "roll". the possibilities are endless!

it could turn out to be the best thing since fire

@Kassil

Hey! Everyone! If we smash up some rocks and charcoal, we can make shapes on walls! And if we do it right, with fire, it makes them dance on the wall! Come and see! I think we're gonna call it art.

Xylaria
@Xylaria

Holy shit y'all, I figured out you can put clay in a big cylinder, and force air through holes in the bottom with fans, and it gets really fuckin' hot if you fire charcoal in it. I think I can melt metal with this! Can we do anything else with it?

catball
@catball

my dudes, I started using vocalizations, gestures, and expressions in a consistent manner to reference things around me. All the other hominids are picking up on it. Maybe we can start abstracting stuff ? I don't know what that means yet, but I'm pretty excited

I've discovered this magnificent way of using up all this waste carbon dioxide that's floating around in the atmosphere--all you need to do is coordinate the stuff with a magnesium atom in this very pretty organometallic complex we've come up with, using a bespoke oligopyrrole macrocyclic ligand (comes in multiple varieties too!) and some spiffy photochemistry to turn that CO2 rubbish into energy-rich, high-value platform chemicals. and the only exhaust gas is harmless molecular oxygen! it's literal "green chemistry", it'll be a goldmine! ~Chara
