Final Fantasy XIV is a part of my life where I can feel both control and success. I know that I can set a small goal of some sort—do the roulettes, level up a job, craft something, make a glamour—and I can complete it. And I can do this on a day that I feel like I don't have control or haven't achieved success in real life.
That may not be a healthy relationship to have with a video game, but it's nice knowing I can go there.
