What a meh journey. The other three tanks aren't super exciting to start, but even starting at level 60 did the job no favors. I may occasionally play it, but I have nothing luring me to do so.

What I liked:

  • Easy rotation. The "burst window" for Gunbreaker is fairly simple. Not a lot of jumping around my keyboard.

What I disliked:

  • Boring defensive abilities. Each of the other tank jobs has some defensive or curative ability I really enjoy. Gunbreaker does not.
  • Boring animations and sound-effects. I can't honestly say Gunbreaker and Warrior don't have similar rotations in that you do your little combo until you can do your cooler smash attacks. But Warrior feels like you're really hitting something; it just feels boss when you're literally just going smash, smash, smash, harder smash. Gunbreaker, on the other hand, feels like you're swatting at the air, and your heavier-hitting abilities just add a tiny explosion.
  • It makes Thancred seem boring now. This is what he's doing? Meh.

Only Reaper left!

I swear they changed the sound effect for GNB attacks some few patches back and I hate it. When I started the class it actually sounded like, well, a blade. Now it's this dull weird crunch and I don't understand what they were thinking with that.
