It’s been like, three weeks (?) since the last devlog, and we’re on number six now! I wonder how many more there’ll be until the game is released...
Last time, I mentioned taking a break due to a change in my technology. Between then and now, I almost bricked my laptop! Woah! I won’t go into the details but it was terrifying... Everything should be okay now, I hope…
I did manage to work on gamedev during that time and got a significant amount done. A brief list...
- Did a final edit (4th pass? 5th pass? I wasn’t keeping count) and now I’m happy with the writing. Sol is truly... my meowiest meow...
- Switched from Atom to VS Code for programming. VS Code is so, so nice. I was able to format my script to code incredibly quickly with the Find and Replace function.
- Also coded in all the movements! Chet bounces a lot.
- Finished the lineart for all the CGs and the main menu! Illustrations are the most “aughhh” part of making VNs so I’m glad I got the hardest part done.
I am significantly closer to making a playable build now. After this game is done, I’m going to take such a nice break =v=
