I'm about to go live with the Extra Life Charity VPX Pin-Golf Classic!
This is a charity fundraiser being run by PaladinArcade in the virtual pinball community. Much like when @FlannelKat did it, I'm going to be donating $2 per stroke, plus any bits and subscriptions that come in during my stream. (Yes, the full amount of the Twitch subscription, even though not all of it goes to me; consider it a matching donation.)
In pin-golf, instead of going for a high score, you try to accomplish a particular goal on a pinball table in as few balls as possible. Most of these goals can be added up across two games, if necessary. The stroke limit here is 7.
The stream starts soon:
Pingolf is done and I took 39 strokes. Together with contributions from viewers, this raised $94.72 for Extra Life!
When I first tried out the Chrono Trigger machine I thought completing battles was too hard, but I've learned a lot about that machine and I started wizard mode (Lavos) for the first time! And then I drained before doing any damage to Lavos.
Also Pirates broke, fortunately after I completed the goal. I don't think the mechanisms on that VPX table are quite right, but it failed in an incredible way, where Tortuga multiball got stuck in a perpetual-motion situation that looks like it would have given me an unbounded number of points if I had waited it out:
