I've never played FEZ. @FlannelKat tells me that it will be extremely my jam and has been insisting that I play it. So I'm going to try it!
There's one issue: It insists on running in a portrait-shaped window, because my primary monitor is a portrait monitor, because I use it for pinball. I can choose a 3:4 aspect ratio or a 9:16 aspect ratio. I cannot choose, like, a 4:3 aspect ratio. Even if I put it in a window. Even if I put it on the other monitor. Yoko mode is not an option.
Kat took a look at what the start of the game looks like and said it's going to be fine actually

FEZ doesn't quite work in the tate mode that it imposed on me:
- some speech bubbles go off the right edge of the screen
- the item menu glitches out when you try to examine an item, like a treasure map
Fortunately I found the solution: switch my primary desktop to the landscape (yoko) display, start FEZ, go into display settings, choose a new windowed resolution from the now-reasonable list, close FEZ, switch my desktop back, reopen FEZ, never go into the display settings again
also the progress in my save file is over 50% already?? wow
