Everything got better when I became a green-haired 2D girl. I do fun and unusual things with video games and pinball.

cohost inspired me to do more. Thank you

I am excited and a little bit panicky about the friendsgiving we're hosting! It started with "hey maybe we should invite some people over after thanksgiving", and then Cherry turned out to be able to make it and bring a turkey, and now it's turned into a big potluck with up to 19 people who might show up?? This is the largest gathering we've had since our housewarming and I really hope there's space, I was hoping the porch would be available but it turns out it's heckin cold out

Among lots of amazing food that's on the list, I'm making the turkey, and all there is to do right now is wait and baste it once in a while. It could be great.

"But turkey tastes like na--" no wait stop. I mean nobody has to eat turkey, but I have made some fantastic turkey in the past, because I've put the work in and I know that salt and spices exist. We're following approximately this recipe and we brined it overnight for 14 hours. There are so many variables, but it's so worth it when turkey comes out right. And afterward I get to make the most important part: turkey soup!

so I get to have a big potluck lunchdinner with my wife, and both girlfriends, and some members of the polycule, and pinball folks, and cool people from the Internet who also exist in real life, and I really have so much to be thankful for

and I will be very thankful if someone who shows up is a carnivore who's good at using a knife, because I have never learned how to carve a turkey
