though i know others who use them and prefer them, 'entity' and 'being' don't really work for me. I like 'creature'. it emphasizes the aliveness, the motion, the agency, of what/who you use it to refer to. my friends and I use it to refer to mushrooms, plants. clouds. stars, currents. spirits.
it emphasizes diversity of experience and form. it emphasizes interconnectedness. it emphasizes what it is to be alive.
