I have two distinct categories that I love:
Slow Intrusive and Painless - Like taking HRT for your species.
Fast Intrusive and Painful - making new bones on the spot gotta hurt real good
But I do tend to lean on the slow side personally.
As for favorite TF sequence in any media there's so many good options to chose from. The fandom is absolutely awash with excellent TF content but I do have a favorite that lives in my head forever and it's the short 'Fears' comic by reservoirDog on FA linked here.
