I hope one day all heavily monetized F2P games will be available to play without having to engage with the monetization similarly to what emulation has done for arcade games. I'm super curious about which ones have gameplay that hold up, and what kind of play patterns would emerge. Would people attempt to still play "F2P" just to see how far they can progress that way? Would they set artificial spending limits? Would they use the premium currency infinitely? And what kind of experience would they get with each method?

These questions interest me, and it makes me sad that many of these games get largely erased when they shut down, rendering said questions unable to be answered.
