Makai Toushi SaGa is neat. Surprising how fast it's paced even when you have to savescum to fuck to avoid losing your offensive magic after every single battle.

Turn-based JRPGs with relatively small amounts of dialogue and story content are really relaxing to play, IMO. It's easy to lean back and just do exploration and combat with just enough engagement in decision-making to be fun, but without having to focus on keeping up on the story and characters. They let more parts of my brain relax than a lot of games.

I understand the feeling of relaxation that comes from a simple rpg. I sometimes use Wizardry clones for that purpose. I used to grind Pokemon for the same effect but I haven't done that in a while for some reason.
