hello! i've got this animation i'd like to finish, but a thing that's held me up is the looming dread of figuring out the sound design - and it's occurred to me that perhaps... i could outsource this?
is there anyone (feel free to share) that might be able to do sound design for a 43-50 second animation (see below cut)? (<-paid, of course)
i'd primarily be looking for practical sound effects (somebody walking, jumping, falling, an animal rubbing against a pant leg, and.... flesh being blown off of bones??), but music would be icing on the cake (<-i assume this is a separate thing to look into though).
if you’re either are a person that might do this, or know of somebody who could, or know of a better place to ask - please let me know?
(cw below cut: major sangfielle spoilers, body horror (flesh flying off of bones))
been working on this more again lately. changed my mind yet again about the final skeleton transformation but i think i’m committing this time - going to burn off each layer (pause at “no” is intentional, at that point i’m going to stop all inorganic burning and start taking off their flesh?). so far i’ve got just the base of the poncho going up, but without any fire or charring effects yet. tomorrow i hope to do the gambeson in a similar way… but i have to decide if i’m going to start on the skeleton first, because if chine’s body changes shape i want to reflect that in their more form fitting clothes. i’ll figure it out eventually.
(the end is leftover from when i had chine falling back as the skeleton stepped forward… hopefully by the time that part hits they’ll be mostly bone)
i’ve not been using cohost as much as i’d like lately, but a WIP thread/progress log seems like an alright thing to put here.
didn’t get as far as i would have liked but i am enjoying thinking about stitching and layering so it’s worth it
