feel free to ignore this im complaining about my roommates because im ticked off
my roommates broke up, one of them is moving out. his now-ex was like, yeah, you're on the hook for his rent. this was not a discussion, i was simply told i will be covering part of his rent. why this is my responsibility when it was their fault for not figuring out their relationship is beyond me.
since this was announced, the one who is moving out has been sleeping in our living room on an inflatable mattress. our other roommate, who is the now-ex's ex before this whole situation, is now taking advantage of this to sleep in the now-ex's bedroom every night, which is its own level of weird tella-novella drama! i don't know what's going on because none of them talk to me about it
anyway everyone's being super passive aggressive lately and it's like they want me to move out, but when i have floated this i have been told i can't because this will make rent too expensive for the two who are staying, because that was definitely considered before upping my rent right as student loan repayments restart. so i guess im just stuck with people who are being dicks to me for another ten months?
the only good part i see here is that i was told i can probably get a cat once the guy moves out, something i was steadfastly told i couldn't do earlier but is now being offered i guess as a bribe
