Do you talk to the computer as if it could hear you? Does it ever talk back?

the doc today

  • noticed us using first-person-plural pronouns on the pre-appointment form
  • asked if we were plural (in those terms)
  • was very clear that they would try to accommodate our plural needs if we had any

??????????????????????????????????? wow

you don't realize how tired the charade is making you until you're given the opportunity to stop

in reply to @artemis's post:

normally i wouldnt either. but the sheer level of "gets it, or approximately understands it enough to be safe around" was quite high for a lot of reasons at once

they even explicitly asked if we wanted it included or left out of our file

also tbh i would never have brought it up myself it is only because they directly asked us

the closest i got was asking my clinic once if they had a psychologist i could talk to about dissociation, and they emailed back with a link to psychologytoday with (iirc) what was basically a "sounds like trauma, uhh good luck!" x.x last time i ever tried to talk about it to medical ppl
