A bit more work in progress of my game. Only around 20% done with, but I'll have a lot of time next week to work more on it !

Really looking fantastic. Are you modeling all the scenes in blender (or similar) and then rendering those out? What does your workflow look like?
Thanks, I mostly use 3D builder to create the rooms and importing 3d models, which I find easier and faster to use than blender. Then I took screenshots of what I need and edit them in gimp with a few effects before dithering them.
It might be the same one haha. I like having little connections between my games.
this is so damn cool, i almost can't believe it's decker! what a truly versatile program. is it the intent to make the transitions look like the game is all taking place in one large 3d space, because it looks amazing so far :D
Indeed, it's all taking place in one location with multiple rooms. Kind of a simpler version of Myst or games similar to that.
This has me thinking about ways to offer smoother transitions. A transition function normally composites together screenshots of the source and destination card in some way, but they're free to draw essentially anything. In principle one could render out several intermediate frames and do 3d pans/zooms between scenes. Only problem is it would require a lot of tedious work and tons of extra image data for a fairly subtle effect...
Those transitions in the utena module looks great! And I did think about adding some sort of animated transition, like a door opening similar to the ones in the first resident evil, but gave up on the idea since I probably don't have the time to do it. Maybe I'll try it in a future project.
